‘Kakadu in Flood (numbers 1-15)’

This is one of a series of paintings produced after a visit to Kakadu National Park in northern Australia. It was shortly after the monsoon rains (‘the wet’) had passed. It is a place of extraordinary beauty; of moving balance between wet and dry; of a captivating complexity underlined by uncertainty and tension by the hidden danger of crocodiles that move with the changes.
